Shifting Soil

This problem may arise if your fence on new soft soil. Also, with the frequent earth vibration region, it may happen in old soil as well. Whatever the reason is, you need to support the post with more soil or give concrete support.

Most interestingly, if you add soil, it will decline and lose again after passing the time. So, concreate would be the first choice. But if you think to settle down the soil then you will use concrete finally is also a good idea.

Rotting Posts

Usually, the fence is made of wood well treated for insects and moisture. So, Treated wood lasts longer than the natural wood against rainwater, sunlight, and soil decomposing. But still, it will rot, and the fence may lean due to the post damaged.

First, you need to decide that you will change the entire post or part of it. Suppose you need to change the whole post itself, then ready a new one. Also, you have to remove all attachment fences with care from the old ones.

After that, dig one hole, remove the old post with root from the soil, put the new post, and fill it with concrete. Then, wait for the concrete to solid properly. Finally, attach the slate and add one by one rail of the fence.

If you can remove the slate and rail from the old post without any damage can be used in the new post again. Otherwise, you can also collect some new slate and pin from attaching the fence’s rail with the new post.

Sometimes, changing a specific part of the post can solve the problem. In that case, you have to find out which part you need to replace. Then, detach the fence’s slate and rail from that part only after cutting down the part from the oldest post.

Measure the part you need a new one to maintain the label of the rail of the fence. Attach the new measured part with metal bands and pin the railing of the fence accordingly.
